THE PENTECOSTAL ASSEMBLY CHURCH
(A ministry of The Christian Assembly of Bihar)
The Pentecostal Assembly Church. It was started by Rev. (Dr.) D.N. Prasad on 20th October 1985. He completed his theological studies first at the AG Bible College in Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh, followed by G.Th from Southern Asia Bible College, Bangalore in the year 1978. Following this he was working with the Assemblies of God Church in Calcutta. This was until in one Evangelistic meeting by Reinhart Bonnke there was a prophecy; wherein he was reminded of his commitment to serve the people of his community in the state of Bihar. It was this call of God in which lies the origin of our Church. Our pastor resigned from the church at Calcutta and identified Bokaro Steel City (presently in Jharkhand, erstwhile in Bihar) as the place where he would go and plant a church to take the gospel to the people of Bihar; something that God has put on his heart and he had written in his thesis of turning Bihar – ‘a graveyard for missions into a vineyard for Christ.’ It was to fulfill this mission
The Pentecostal Assembly Church first met on 20th October 1989 in a rented space at 189, Co-operative Colony, Bokaro Steel City. As is seen in most church plant the 1st service was attended by Rev. Prasad; his wife and two children aged 1 and 5.The Pentecostal Assembly Church’; which is run by the registered society – The Christian Assemblies of Bihar registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The church was established in the year 1985 and will complete 36 years of existence this October,2020.
